Vietjet named in the world’s Top 10 safest low-cost airlines again

(Ho Chi Minh City, January 7, 2021) – Vietjet has been once again listed in “the world’s Top 10 safest low-cost airlines for 2022” among 385 global airlines monitored by AirlineRatings, the world’s famous airline safety and product rating website.

In making its evaluation, AirlineRatings considers the airlines’ incident records in recent years, fleet age, results of audits conducted by the governing body of aviation, the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and other aviation authorities.

AirlineRatings Editor-in-chief Geoffrey Thomas said: “The airline’s priority in operational excellence confirms their brand names in aviation industry while expressing their customer-centric strategy. Vietjet is especially recognized for massive investment into new fleet, system upgrade and technology adoption to ensure safety in operation and meet passengers’ evolving and convenient flight demand.”

This year’s top 10 list also includes notable low-cost peers such as Ryanair, EasyJet, Frontier, etc. for their excellence performances in flight safety despite the pandemic. AirlineRatings also rates Vietjet at seven-star level, the highest ranking for aviation safety in the world for four consecutive years since 2018.

Spreading dreams of students from ethnic minorities and islands, Vietjet accompanies with Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund for the 10th consecutive year

In the morning of January 08, 2022, the “Spring journey to the forest into the sea” art exchange program has been organized by the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and “For the beloved Hoang Sa – Truong Sa” Club in Ho Chi Minh city with the participations of organizations supported gifted students from ethnic minorities and islands across Vietnam for the years. At the ceremony, Vietjet has been awarded a certificate of merit by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for meaningful donations to the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund as well as social responsibility activities.

In 2022, Vietjet continues to accompany with Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund, offering hundreds of flight tickets to disadvantaged students and pupils from ethnic minorities and islands to return their homes on holidays and summer vacation. Over the years, Vietjet has spent billions of Vietnam dong for supporting young people in Vietnam.

Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund was established in 1999 on the initiative of the Thieu nien Tien phong (Young pioneers) newspaper. For more than 20 years, the fund has awarded more than thousands of scholarships from philanthropists including Vietjet to well-educated and well-trained students who overcoming their difficults to study. Especially, Vietjet has been donated billions of VND for the fund through operating hundreds of free-of-charge flights, gifting thousands of meaningful presents, and bringing millions of students and pupils from ethnic minorities and islands return to their hometowns on their holidays and summer vacation.

Not only accompanying with Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund’s meaningful activities, Vietjet also goes along with many charities to support disadvantaged children at orphanages, SOS villages, etc. across the country.
